We just got home from the most amazing trip to California to visit Katie, Ian, Aaron & Olivia. The girls were so good in the truck on the way there that we arrived a whole day early, it was so great to have that extra day!! In the picture below Katie was giving Cali her first hair cut, I was so impressed with how well Katie can cut hair!

Cali and Aaron, it's hard to believe that they aren't the same age!
We went across a couple of bridges to go check out San Francisco, we ended up coming back two more times...we must have liked it there!
Greg had to go to Bubba Gump Shrimp, he loves the food! The restaurant was on the Pier looking over the water and just on the other side was a bunch of sea lions sunning themselves...it was pretty neat to see!
Cali got a kids build your own Sunday for dessert...too bad most of that ended up on the floor, oh well at least I didn't have to clean it up!
Tub Time! I found out that Aaron really doesn't like having water dumped on his head...Sorry Aaron!
Katie took us to their wonderful Farmer's Market, it was great and if I lived there I would go every week! They have the best caramel popcorn, yummm! Someone thought that Olivia and Sophie were twins and...
Some other people thought Cali and Aaron were twins!
Greg was tickling Olivia...she really likes him a lot! Greg played with her and she was more than willing to let him swing her around and put her up in the air...it was so special!
We went to a baseball game in San Francisco, the Giants against the Cubs. I was so awe stuck when we walked in at one of the top levels and looked at the view of the stadium looking out at the water...wow what a sight! The kids did so great staying up so late and riding the Bart train back, it was so crowded but everyone did so well!
Sophie was getting more attention than the game from all the people around us, she just kept standing up and smiling and squawking...she stole the show! :)
Sophie had a blast playing with all the kids toys, everything is so new and exciting!
Tub time again!
This was our last time in San Francisco, we went to see Alcatraz. This picture was on the ferry ride over to the Island.
We did a self guided tour of the prison, they give you a headset and you can take as long as you like. This picture was inside one of the cells, it's crazy how small they are but I don't really feel to bad for the people who were in there...they had obviously done something to get themselves there!

Before heading back to Katie's we stopped at a walk way down below the Golden Gate Bridge.
We walked along until we were right beside the bridge and there were people surfing everywhere. I think that is a great spot because the wind is just blowing and the waves got pretty big!
This is on our way back home at one of the rest stops, they are so great and look just like a park!

Cali fell asleep with her hand still in the popcorn bag...so cute! :)
We had so much fun, the girls were such amazing little traveller's! Thanks for having us over Katie & Ian, it was so great to spend time with all of you! Katie, you are such a good cook...thanks for the yummy meals!
